Will my training prepare me for a real job?
As there is currently a national skills shortage of child care professionals in Australia the chances of being employed are extremely high especially compared against most other jobs and careers in Australia.
It is the Colleges recommendation to always evaluate the demand of the job market by viewing the positions vacant or jobs section to better understand what is jobs are being advertised and what employers are seeking. As a major employer of child care staff for the last 15 years, we prepare all our students to meet the requirements of the child care industry and exceed employer expectations.
We identify areas of suitable employment for participants both during and following training and refer participants to opportunities which arise through our contact with the business and childcare community. Often students are introduced to prospective employers or offered positions at Smarter Kids Kindergartens and Preschools. While we avoid recommending any one individual, we are prepared to contact past students and tell them of any opportunities.
